Visiting your CYAer and looking for accommodation? There are a number of different places to stay in Athens to suit your needs and budget. Here's a list of suggestions we've compiled for your convenience.
Please note that with the exception of the CYA student apartments, CYA cannot guarantee any of accommodations listed below. The list offers suggestions only, not endorsements.
Accommodation in Athens
CYA student apartments: CYA often has a few student apartments available for short-term rental. Apartments are located in the Pangrati neighborhood of Athens and are within easy walking distance of CYA's Academic Center, grocery stores, cafes and restaurants, bakeries, dry-cleaning shops, banks, and other amenities. A typical apartment has 2 to 3 bedrooms (each containing one or two single beds), and also includes a common area, kitchen (stocked with tableware and basic cooking equipment), bathroom and balcony. Apartments are simply but fully furnished, with clima units (heating/cooling) in each bedroom, and WiFi Internet access. Linen and a weekly housekeeping are provided by CYA. Zappion Hotel Budget hotel, on a pedestrian street three blocks away from CYA.
Hotel Nefeli, Plaka: Budget hotel, in a quiet neighborhood in Plaka, not far from Syntagma Square.
Phaedra Hotel, Plaka: Budget hotel with a nice view. It is in the Plaka area under the Acropolis. However, private bathrooms are sometime located outside the rooms they serve.
