We welcome applications from academically strong students who wish to immerse themselves in the study of Greece and/or the world of the eastern Mediterranean. Successful candidates are those who show themselves to be academically motivated, inquisitive, self-reliant, self-disciplined, flexible, and open to experiencing daily life in a European capital city.
Our Program does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sex, or national and ethnic origin. The application form includes no question on any of these matters, and photographs need not be sent before admission has been granted. CYA employs a rolling admissions policy. Since applications are considered only as long as space is available, CYA strongly encourages early application. The Admissions Committee in Athens reviews applications, and applicants are notified by email of its decision.
It is recommended that all materials be sent together in one envelope to the Cambridge office; in any event, only complete applications are forwarded to the Admissions Committee in Athens.
All applicants should have a passport, valid for three months after their intended return, or have made an application for one.
