In this section Summer Application
College Year in Athens welcomes applications from academically strong students who wish to immerse themselves in the study of Greece and/or the world of the eastern Mediterranean. Successful candidates are those who show themselves to be academically motivated, inquisitive, self-reliant, self-disciplined, flexible, and open to experiencing daily life in a European capital city.

The Program does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, sex, or national and ethnic origin. The application form includes no question on any of these matters, and photographs need not be sent before admission has been granted.

Summer Application

After opening the form in Acrobat, you can fill it out online.
You should then save, print and sign it.

A complete application consists of the following:
  • Application form
  • Statement of Study Abroad Approval/Credit Transfer (for those seeking credit)
  • Official Transcript, in a sealed envelope, of college or university work undertaken
  • Letter of Academic Reference (ONLY if a transcript from a school of record is required)
A physician’s statement is not part of the application documentation, but a check-up prior to going overseas is highly recommended. Participants are required to carry medical insurance valid for Greece.

Applications are reviewed upon receipt and then forwarded to the Admissions Committee in Athens.

When space is limited and there are two or more similarly qualified applicants, preference will be given to the earlier applicant(s). Early application is, therefore, strongly recommended.

A reduction of $100 is given to students who submit application with full payment postmarked on or before March 1.

College Year in Athens reserves the right to cancel any course that fails to achieve minimum enrollment by April 1.

The Admissions Committee in Athens reviews applications, and applicants are notified in writing of its decision. Completed applications and supporting documents should be sent to the attention of Admissions Committee, to:
